“Yoga is something you do for yourself. Focus on yourself and your own growth.”

About Tamara Finocchiaro
For my work I had the opportunity to see a lot of the world and on 1 of these beautiful trips I met my (now) husband.
I was in my early thirties at the time, quit my job, sold my house and moved with two suitcases from the Netherlands to a remote island in the Atlantic Ocean.
I was introduced to Yoga on this special Spanish island just after the birth of my oldest daughter Nora.
I am someone who has both feet on the ground, led a busy life in the Netherlands and was never really open to spirituality.
However, moving to Fuerteventura, an island that basically has little to offer, forced me to reinvent myself.
In the beginning I still felt a lot of restlessness, Yoga, among other things, helped me find peace in myself, with trial and error of course.
We are now many years on, having lived in Mallorca for several years after Fuerteventura, where our twin daughters were born. Three small children, already living abroad, even here yoga has meant a lot to me.
After all, yoga was one of the few things that belonged to “me.” After practicing it for about 5 years, I decided to dive deeper into it, my wonderful yoga teacher (to this day) Bharti (living on Fuerteventura) has guided me in this and since March 2022 I am officially allowed to teach yoga.
I sincerely hope that I can offer you the same peace of mind in my teaching that it gives me.
I feel honored to meet you at my yoga class, let’s be kind and respectful to each other.
Love,
Tamara
Listen to your body, yoga should not hurt, respect your body.
All classes are offered online and in small groups. An “intimate and personal” atmosphere is very important. Find yourself a calming spot in your home, perhaps light a candle, put a glass of water next to your yoga mat and keep your phone at bay.
Yoga is practiced without shoes and on your own yoga mat. I would kindly ask you to put your cell phone on silent during class.
Yoga you do for yourself, it is not about who is the most flexible, focus on yourself and your own growth 😊
In conclusion, it is very important to me that everyone feels welcome and “safe” in my yoga class.
